I am currently working on a song for a friend, which has stacks of tracks, edits and effects, its maxing out my PC a bit....PIII 600, 256MB RAM. Anywho, I added another track and was playing with a 1 band EQ, when "POP!" an increadibly loud pop came from digi 001 and scared the life out of me and my Mackie HR824's. Anyone else had this prob? Anyway to prevent it?

Did you check your system usage in PT? Could it be that your CPU was going into red? Do the Davec test for checking your pc's capabilities, in the thread "PT Performance". This is the first thing I'd think of if you say your pc was maxed out by this arrangement. Voideco

HOLY CRAP! When I first read this I thought you were having some sort of hardware or wiring issues. But now it's happened to me! I was doing some crazy panning automation on a sidestick and POP!!! Here's the pattern I noticed: When I was dragging the automation break point while playing back audio, when I release the mouse button I got a little crackle and pop...I thought one of my tracks was overloading until the last time, It sounded like digital distortion at about 120 db.
