Weird Issue with Kontakt

Does this happen with any VSTi's or just Kontact? I had to quit using Kontact because of a wide range of issues.

lol You know what, I thought it was with everything, but I just tested it with Play and didn't have any problems at all... So it's just a problem with Kontakt then?

Yep, just tried it with Dimension Pro. Everything was fine until I played the piece and then stopped it. Kontakt no longer worked, but Dimension did. This sucks :/ Thanks a lot for your help and time richie, I really appreciate it.

I use Kontakt 4 & 5 but I have never had issues with reaper and kontakt. I had issues with cakewalk dimension pro. I have core 2duo 2.2ghz, 4gb ram and win 7 32 bit with delta 1010lt & edirol eax 25. Kontakt works flawless here with reaper, infact its most dependable thing on my setup.

And this is not the free Kontakt player? That only runs for 30 minutes in demo mode?

Weird. Maybe why I don't use it, or maybe I never gave it more than 30 minutes....

Let's clear up some misunderstandings. 3rd party libraries that are NOT licenced to be used with Kontakt Player, will run in demo mode. All other Kontakt Player licenced libraries will run without limitations in Kontakt Player. Kontakt is a perfectly usable sampler, and from my experience works well with Reaper.

Check that you havnt got your mod wheel controlling the volume in Kontakt.

Mine is 4.0.5.3186. Library version 1.0. Well, will download the newer version. Reaktor free player most definitely has a 30 minutes limit on the included synths. It seemed logical that NI had the same limitation on the Kontakt free player. But I will check it out.
