Alternative recording storage!!!

Hi guys, I'm running PT6.1.2 on my dual usb G3 700mhz iBook and wonder if i can turn my powerpc G3 (b&w) into additional *direct* recording storage connected via 10/100 ethernet? Is it even feasible for recording? Here's how the connection will be: iBook > (LAN cable) > cable/DSL router > (LAN cable) > powerpc G3. P/S: I can't get my blue and white G3 to start up in firewire Target Disk Mode. Are there any drivers that can finally allow a b&w to operate in TDM? regards, nehpyh

No, way too slow and not that I know of.

the blue and white will not startup from a FW disk, the b&W lacks the neccessary firmware to perform this. i looked into it when i went to run a show off of a borrowed b&w.
