I promise I searched the forum and didn't see anything specific. I just had my XC90 diagnosed at a Volvo dealer with a faulty Yaw Sensor (Getting Anti-Skid Service Required). They want to charge $780 for the repair. I decided to roll the dice and just bought a $200 salvaged sensor as I read in this forum that the repair is fairly easy. Has anybody swapped out this sensor? If so, can you help me with some of the steps to get to it. What I know is that it is under the passenger seat (US)...and I was just going to start taking stuff out till I found it. Thanks. MC

MC, Remove the amp unit under the seat , first thing to do is check for evidence of a water leak , this should be addressed before you do (anything else) , if there is a sign of leakage it is most likely the sunroof drains. The sensor is held in with 2 bolts , it takes a little wiggling to get out , DO NOT BEND THE BRACKET . Depending on the code you had yaw sensor problems can be fixed with a simple vibration damper. Hope this helps , Mister T.

Michael.... I don't know the story in the USA but my UK 2003 XC90 already had the viration damper fitted when it failed. It's the little black rubber pad you can see in the photos, and if you can bend that bracket taking it out you must be a front runner for the strongest man in the world. Roy PS Sorry for the full inbox but have deleted some of my PM's now.

Well done. It's great to fix something yourself isn't it? I did try to find a repairer for my unit but didn't have any joy on the internet. All the best. Roy
